Why Innovation Dies.
And How to Save It.
Great ideas are often sidelined. Not because they lack potential, but because delivery pressure, shifting priorities, and rigid structures make innovation feel risky or misaligned.
This session is designed for product managers and design leaders who are ready to influence strategic direction, improve prioritization, and create room for innovation within real-world constraints.
In this focused, four-hour session, participants will learn a practical method for incorporating innovation into strategic planning and everyday decision-making.
Most organizations are full of smart, ambitious people. But many still struggle to make innovation part of daily work. Common blockers include:
Innovation doesn’t fail for lack of desire. It fails for lack of space, structure, and support.
Get involved earlier in strategy discussions
Ensure your team is part of the conversation when priorities are set, and that both user insight and business value shape the direction from the start.
Use structured prioritization
Apply a method for identifying which ideas to pursue based on clear criteria: business impact, user need, positioning, and effort.
Lead change from within
Create space for strategic work without introducing confusion, friction, or delays to ongoing delivery.
This isn’t about teaching you how to be innovative.
It’s about helping you get innovation prioritized, without compromising cost, deadlines, or must-have features.
In this focused, four-hour session, you’ll get coaching on how to apply proven methods to your real challenges. You’ll learn how to build buy-in, create space for strategic work, and lead change without adding chaos or stepping on toes.

Duration: 4 hours (Dinner optional)
14:00-14:10 | Welcome and Framing
We begin with a short introduction and reflection on why innovation often stalls inside established organizations. You'll hear what this session is designed to help you change.
14:10-14:35 | Strategy by Design Framework
You’ll be introduced to a practical framework that connects long-term strategy with daily work. We’ll explore why execution often gets disconnected from vision and how to fix it.
14:35-14:45 | The Buy-In Pathway
We walk through four phases of gaining internal support: getting invited, proving value, creating shared commitment, and maintaining focus. You'll reflect on where you are in your own journey.
14:45–15:05 | Choose Your Tools and Focus
Participants select two practical tools to work with, based on their role and goals. Options include Design Briefing, Opportunity Framing, Risk Framing, and Insight Activation.
15:05–16:05 | Hands-On Session 1
You will apply your first selected method to a real challenge from your context. The session includes coaching and peer feedback to adapt the tool to your situation.
16:05–16:20 | Break
16:20–17:20 | Hands-On Session 2
You’ll work with a second tool, either building on your earlier work or tackling a new challenge. We’ll support each other in adapting methods to real-world constraints.
17:20–17:40 | Personal Action Planning
Each participant outlines a specific plan: which tool to try, which conversations to have, and which colleague to involve. You’ll receive input and encouragement from your peers.
17:40–18:00 | Wrap-Up and Commitments
18:00+ | Optional Dinner and Conversations
